Wellesley Dems Register New Citizens to Vote

A group from the WDTC was at Faneuil Hall on Thursday, November 9th volunteering with MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) to register new citizens to vote! Swearing-in ceremonies are regularly held at Faneuil Hall and MIRA has been working for years to help newly-minted citizens join the voter rolls. See below for photos from the afternoon.

On October 28th, the WDTC hosted a fundraiser for Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Over 100 people came to listen to Sen. Warren talk about what is happening in Washington, the values she’s fighting for, and how we can help. 5th Annual Wellesley Democrats’ Picnic

The 5th Annual Wellesley Democrats’ Picnic was another successful one! Close to 100 people joined local Democratic officials to welcome fall and talk about the upcoming 2018 elections at WDTC member and Selectman Jack Morgan’s home. Rep. Alice Peisch moderated the event and Jay Gonzalez and Setti Warren spoke about their campaigns for governor, with Anne Tate speaking on behalf of Bob Massie’s bid. Wellesley Delegates Attend the 2017 Convention

On Saturday, June 3rd, Wellesley Democrats served as delegates at the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention at the DCU Center in Worcester. This year’s convention focused on approving a new MassDems platform (available here). After hearing from a number of Statewide and local officials during the morning session – notably Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senate President Stanley Rosenberg – attendees split to attend specific afternoon presentations on various topics. See below for photos from this year’s event.
